Lately I have been taking notice of some great design being done in the world of Letterpress. There seems to be a revival of artists and craftsmen dedicated to this centuries-old method of printing which gives a tactile quality that can’t be touched by modern offset printing. Using new methods of platemaking that give more speed and versatility compared to the moveable type process that Gutenberg introduced in the mid 15th century.
Below are just a handful of beautifully designed prints, invites, and stationery all made to show off the plush capabilities of Letterpress printing.
Invitations for a destination wedding
Wedding Invitations are one of the more common uses for letterpress printing. They are a perfect fit due to the fact that most weddings require a short run of prints where people will gladly pay the premium cost of letterpress in order to have an invite that delivers the highest level of class.
